HKN Celebration, Health Agency Holds 2019 Emergency Festival

We want to strengthen friendship and improve the ability of emergency health workers in Jakarta

The Jakarta Health Agency is holding the 2019 Emergency Festival in commemoration of National Health Day (HKN). It will be take place from October 17 to November 14.

There will be a series of competitions and activities namely, Emergency Response Team (ERT) on October 22-24, Cepat Tepat (Quick and Correct) on October 28-29, CPR Video Dance Competition, Futsal on October 28-29 and symposium on November 14.

Jakarta Health Agency's Emergency Ambulance (AGD) Technical Management Unit Head Iwan Kurniawan said it also commemorates to find out the competence of health workers in health care facilities in Jakarta in handling emergencies.

"Our main task is twofold namely, ambulance service and emergency training center. We want all health workers to have the same competence in managing emergencies for patients," he expressed, Monday (10/21).

Later on, every participant is taken from health service facilities, government or private agencies in Jakarta.

"Our invitation has been sent to all health service facilities, precisely almost 200 hospitals," he explained.

He details each team consists of three persons, like one doctor and two nurses with a registration fee of Rp 1,000,000 per team.

"For the CPR Video Dance Competition, the team consists of between 5-8 people with a registration free by Rp 500,000 per team. Then the registration fee for futsal is Rp 500,000 per team," he told.

At the end of the event, it will be continued with a symposium on the theme "Integrated Emergency Medical Service" for doctors and nurses.

Hopefully the health care facilities could have qualified health workers in emergency management. So, when there are emergency cases, the health workers can provide quick and appropriate assistance to reduce disability and death rates.

"We want all officers to have more competent competence," he stressed.

He added futsal competition will also be held at the Maestro Kemayoran Futsal Field, Central Jakarta.
