Jak Lingko Launches Jak 42 Kampung Melayu - Pondok Kelapa Route

Today, East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department (Sudinhub) launches Jak Lingko's new route at Kampung Melayu Terminal, Jatinegara.

This new Jak Lingko route is launched to meet residents needs of transportation fleets

This launching event was attended by Sudinhub, PT. Transjakarta, and PT. Kopamilet Jaya as Jak Lingko operator.

East Jakarta Sudinhub's Road Transport Section Head, Umbul Gunawan conveyed, this new route is Jak 42 that serves Kampung Melayu - Pondok Kelapa route.

900 Jaklingko Drivers Certified

"This new Jak Lingko route is launched to meet residents needs of transportation fleets," he stated, Friday (10/25).

According to him, Jak 42 is the replacement of Mikrolet 31 fleets that have been rejuvenated. Actually, those have the same route, but Jak 42 serves until Pondok Kelapa Zero Downpayment (DP) Public Housing.

"We operate total 20 fleets for this route," he said.

Before launching the route, his side has socialized about Jak Lingko to the drivers. Moreover, his side has also surveyed the location and installed road signs along the route.

Kopamilet Jaya Deputy Head, as one of Jak Lingko operators, Febby Aquardha stated, total 20 fleets are ready to serve Kampung Melayu - Pondok Kelapa route.

"For now, there are another 21 fleets which are ready to enter Jak Lingko while waiting for approval from PT. Transjakarta," he explained.

One of Jak 42 drivers, Tabrani (51) admitted to be happy joining Jak Lingko. Because his working hour is the same with other staff in general, which is 8 hours, and his side will get income according to Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).

"I want my economic condition to be better by joining Jak Lingko," he stated.
