For online game lovers, all this time maybe you only communicate via cyberspace. Now it's time for you to meet them in the real world, through the event of Jakarta Cosplay Parade 2019 at Monas Silang Barat Field on November 17.

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) Acting Head Alberto Ali said there would be 1,000 cosplayers from Jakarta and outside Jakarta. They will undergo a judgment stage from judges who are famous cosplayers, namely Erlan Bakabon, Frea Mai, Sora Hua and Echow Eko.

"To win, they must look stunning to get attention and good score from the judges. We provide a total prize worth Rp 134 million," he expressed, Friday (11/15).

His department will bring famous cosplayers from six countries including, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

"Their presence is the main attraction for lovers of Cosplay in Indonesia. They will meet and greet their fans in Indonesia with foreign cosplayers," he explained.

This event will be closed with the largest Cosplay Parade in Indonesia, which will surround the Monas area, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

Jakarta Disparbud's Destination and Marketing Division Head Shinta Nindyawati expressed it is a concrete step to promote the tourism potential of Jakarta through international scale events.

"It can provide a space of expression for cosplayers to show off their creativity and alternative entertainment for tourists and locals," she stated.
