Bulak Cabe Pump House Construction Reaches 60 Percent

Each pump will have between 500-3,500 liters per second capacity

The Bulak Cabe pump house construction in Cilincing Urban Village, North Jakarta that has been executed since June has reached 60 percent.

North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency Head Adrian Maulana said, the physical construction includes pumping stations, stationary pumps and sheetpiles for processed ponds.

"Each pump will have between 500-3,500 liters per second capacity," he expressed, Monday (11/18).

Thus far the construction of the sheet pile up to one kilometer and pump house has been completed.

"And now we are preparing mechanical and electrical stages. They will be connected with stationary pump installations and trials," he told.

It is expected to be able to minimize flooding due to overflowing waters of the Cakung Lama and Gubug Genteng rivers in Sukapura, Pegangsaan Dua, Semper Barat, Tugu Selatan and Semper Timur urban villages.

"It is targeted to be complete in December and to operate in 2020," he stressed.
