Jakarta TPID Head, Saefullah explained about the result of the meeting that his side will ensure staple food stock is safe ahead of Christmas and New Year 2020.

According to him, citizen's need of rice in Jakarta for every week is estimated around 15,846 tons, while 78 tons for peanuts, 636 tons for shallots, 492 tons for red chili, 1,317 tons for meat, 2,279 tons for chicken, 1,17 tons for egg, 1,333 tons for sugar, and 1,541 tons for cooking oil.
Meanwhile, from the first period of December until New Year 2020 citizen's need of staple food is expected to increase around 83,191 tons for rice, 410 tons for peanuts, 3,340 tons for shallots, 2,581 tons for chili, 6,915 tons for meat, 11,965 tons for chicken, 9,015 tons for egg, 6,997 tons for sugar, and 8,093 tons for cooking oil.
Thus, his side has cooperates with various regions sucha s Banten, Kediri, Brebes, Bali, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Kalimantan, Australia, and Brazil to maintain the staple food stock.
"We will order staple foods continuously until our stock is safe and its prices are controlled," he asserted.
