KORPRI's 48th Anniversary, Anies Emphasizes Innovation in Serving Citizens

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan delivered remarks by the President of Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo in the commemorating ceremony of Republic of Indonesia Civil Service Corps (KORPRI)'s 48th Anniversary held at Monas yard, Friday (11/29) morning.

The President's remarks is instruction that applied for all

He said, KORPRI is encouraged to create innovations continuously and be innovative in serving the citizens.

"The President's remarks is instruction that applied for all. I have read it for you and I hope you can keep it in mind and do what Mr. President wants. I will ask BKD Head to send President's speech manuscript to groups thus all civil apparatuses (ASN) can read it," he conveyed as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Conference.

He also emphasized the importance of be innovative in government. He assessed that bureaucracy works based on procedures, but the challenges are always changed. Thus he expected all ASN can be innovative and update the procedures based on conditions of times.

"Procedure is needed to standardize the service. For example, procedure in applying KTP (ID card) will be same in all urban village office. But the procedure itself should be updated continuously with innovation," he asserted.

For information, theme of KORPRI's 48th Anniversary is 'Korpri: to Serve, Work, and Unite the Nation'.

With this theme, KORPRI members are expected to remain focus in achieving state's goals and implementing a good governance, including to maintain the unity in any political atmosphere.
