1,795 Jakarta Hajj Pilgrim Candidates Departed

As many as 1,795 hajj pilgrim candidates from Jakarta have been flown to Mecca the Holy Land through Soekarno-Hatta Airport. That amount consists of four flight batches in which each batch consists of 450 pilgrims.

“Until September 10, the amount of hajj pilgrim candidates from Jakarta who have departed reaches 1,795 people. Our quota is 5,668 pilgrims who are divided in 13 batches,” stated Head of Jakarta Education and Mental Spiritual Bureau, Budi Utomo, Wednesday (9/17).

According to Utomo, the first batch departed was on September 1, while the last batch is going to be departed on September 28. At this time, hajj pilgrim candidates departure has entered second phase which started on September 15.

No Special Facilities for Jakarta Hajj Pilgrims This Year

Earlier, on first phase of September 1-14, hajj pilgrim candidates landed in Jeddah and Medina, then placed in Medina. Meanwhile, all flight routes of second phase will be landed in Jeddah, then directly flown to Mecca.

Hajj pilgrim candidates in the second phase will stay in Mecca until the peak of hajj implementation that will be started with wuquf in Arafah which predicted to fall on Friday (10/3). Afterwards, they will be departed to Medina to conduct arbain prayer in Nabawi Mosque.
