BPN's Official Car Towed Due to Illegal Parking

The ranks of Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department once again held a raid against illegal parking in Tanah Abang, Thamrin City and Menteng areas, Thursday (9/11). This time, officers tow an official car B 2543 LQ type Toyota Soluna belongs to the National Land Agency (BPN).

Two Days, Transportation Dept Reaps Rp 11 Million from Fine

Head of Supervision and Control Section for Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Harim Simanjuntak disclosed his side keeps conducting sweeping at several illegal parking-prone areas.

"Fines of Rp 500,000 has made deterrent effect to vehicle owners, it can be seen from vehicles parked in forbidden areas," he expressed.

He added that he has not known how many vehicles were cracked down due to officers are still conducting sweeping in the field.

"Usually, we are usually cracking down one-two vehicles in Tanah Abang-Thamrin City, but today is only a few" he stated.
