South Thousand Islands Ready to Participate in National VIA Screening

All government apparatuses and South Thousand Islands Sub-district residents  are ready to represent Jakarta in National Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) Screening.

Hopefully with this declaration, we can achieve the target

For the preparation, they signed a mutual support declaration at Pari Island Urban Village Office, Wednesday (12/25).

Thousand Islands Sub-district Head, Angga Saputra stated, this declaration is held to strengthen the commitment and gather support from all elements of society, starts from RT/RW administration, PKK cadres, Jumantik, Health Integrated Center (Posyandu), social institutions, and the locals.

"To strengthen the commitment, all wives of the officials, apparatuses, and PJLPs support us by conducting screenings for early detection of cervical and breast cancer," he added.

Until December 23, he continued, there are 917 of total target 1,604 people who participate in VIA screening or around 57.17 percent.

"We hope this declaration can increase number of VIA screening participants," he mentioned.

Pari Island Urban Village Head, Sarjono expressed his gratitude for holding the support declaration and hoped it could encourage more residents to participate in the succession of VIA screening program.

"Alhamdulillah, Pari Island achieves the highest VIA participation figures with total 367 participants from target 467 participants. Hopefully with this declaration, we can achieve the target," he asserted.
