East Jakarta PE Constructs 180 Infiltration Wells

From November to December 10, East Jakarta Industry and Energy (PE) Sub-department constructed 180 infiltration wells.

Infiltration wells are made with diameter of 1 meter and depth around 2-3 meters

East Jakarta PE Sub-department Head, Nurhidayat stated, those infiltration wells were constructed in urban village offices, sub-district offices, health centers (puskesmas), Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA)s, mosques, and several lands as requested by the locals.

"Infiltration wells are made with diameter of 1 meter and depth around 2-3 meters," he stated, Wednesday (12/25).

His side has budgeted Rp 5.5 million to construct one infiltration well.

"This infiltration well help the rain water to enter the ground. Thus it will not flow directly to the channel," he explained.

This year, his side is targeting to build 284 infiltration wells, but due to some circumstances, he can only build 180 infiltration wells.

"The problem is from the factory related to make the concrete or pre-cast concrete buis that is used for infiltration wells. We will continue to optimize it next year," he closed.
