Basuki's Wife, Veronica Inaugurates PAUD at Cipinang Flat

Veronica Tjahaja Purnama, wife of Jakarta Vice Governor inaugurates the Surya Kasih non-formal Early Childhood Centers (PAUD) and House of Learning at the flat of Cipinang Besar Selatan, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Wednesday (9/17). By doing so, the flat residents do not need to worry the problem of their children's education

Previously, many children were not able to get an education in Kindergarten because its fee is expensive. But now, we have PAUD and can be enjoyed for free by children

"PAUD was declared by government through the Family Welfare Movement (TP PKK). Previously, many children were not able to get an education in Kindergarten because its fee is expensive. But now, we have PAUD and can be enjoyed for free by children," she expressed.

Veronica uttered the quality and quantity of PAUD must keep being improved. Not only in the flat, but also in citizen residential. Jakarta Provincial Government will keep improving education program for early childhood. Before that, teachers and PKK cadres at the level of urban village and sub-district are going to be trained and guided in order to improve their knowledge and skill. Thus they can educate children well.

Visited by PAUD Students, Jokowi Gives Quiz

Head of Jakarta Housing and Government Buildings Department, Yonathan Pasodung revealed that from 25 flats, 5 of them already have PAUD. They are Marunda, Cakung Barat, Pinus Elok, Pulogebang, and Cipinang Besar Selatan.

"Through this PAUD, citizens living on the riverbanks and relocated to flats don't need to worry about their children's education anymore," he finished.
