Satpol PP to Deploy 1.150 Personnel in Five New Year Event Locations

As many as 1,150 Jakarta Pamong Praja Police (Satpol PP) personnel will standby to ensure safety and public order during 2020 New Year celebrations in Jakarta.

Those personnel will be deployed to arrange the street vendors (PKL) who trade near the locations of New Year events.

"We will deploy 1,150 personnel during the events to welcome the new year," stated Arifin, Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Monday (12/30).

Regent Monitors Readiness of New Year's Eve Celebration

According to him, Satpol PP personnel will be divided in five event locations. Those are Jakarta City Hall area, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jalan Sudirman-MH. Thamrin, Arjuna Wiwaha Chariot Statue and Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI).

"There is not much different with usual security pattern that we applied during Car Free Day. Our personnel will be on standby until the event ends," he asserted.
