Banyan Tree Fell and Hit Car on Jalan Raya Condet

A 10-meter-long banyan tree fell and hit a car on Jalan Raya Condet, Batu Ampar, Kramatjati, after heavy rain accompanied with strong winds showered the capital on Saturday (9/20). There were no casualties reported in the field, yet traffic congestion cannot be avoided. 

We send our officers to the field for managing traffic

Due to the incident, the car type Isuzu Panther B 9747 ZO was badly damaged. As quoted by beritajakarta.com, traffic from Cililitan and Pasar Rebo cannot be passed by vehicles. 

Rizky, (24), one of citizens expressed that before incident, tree looks rocking by strong winds. "The wind was strong at the time," he disclosed, Saturday (9/20).

Heavy Rain and Strong Wind, Tree Branches Fell

Head of Batu Ampar Urban Village, Badrudin stated his side immediately sent five officers to evacuate such fallen tree in the field. To speed up its process, he also coordinates with East Jakarta Parks Sub-Department. "We send our officers to the field for managing traffic," he told.

Until 7 PM, electricity in the field deliberately turned off, while evacuation is still ongoing.
