1,040 Trees in East Jakarta Pruned

As many as 1,040 trees were pruned by East Jakarta Parks Sub-Department. The pruning that conducted at the beginning of this year is conducted because those trees are prone to fall and could have potentially endanger road users.

Indeed, we get many complaints from local citizens. To resolve it, we pruned 1,040 trees as the initial phase

Additionally, the trees have also covered some roads and traffic lights, as well as street lights. As a result, many motorists are first passing through the road confused.

As quoted by beritajakarta.com, those trees are located on Jalan Raya Bogor, Jalan Kelapa Dua Wetan, Jalan Bina Marga, Jalan Cipayung Raya, Jalan Gempol Raya, Jalan Raya Ciracas, Jalan Lapangan Tembak Cibubur, Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai and Jalan DR Soemarno.

Many Lush Trees Covered Traffic Signs in Central Jakarta

Head of East Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Suzi Marsitawati explained his side has collected data of trees in some locations that will be pruned. According to him, most of trees' high has reached over 10 meters, with shady branches.

"Indeed, we get many complaints from local citizens. To resolve it, we pruned 1,040 trees as the initial phase," he told, Saturday (9/6).

Marsitawati revealed that such pruning also aims to anticipate fallen trees during rainy season. "This must be anticipated early in a bid to minimize casualty," she expressed.
