Thousand Islands - PLN Surveys Location to Build Solar Power Plant

Today, Thousand Islands Administration together with State Electricity Company (PLN) surveys a land near soccer field in Sebira Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands since it is considered potential to build Solar Power Plant (PLTS).

We hope to realize PLTS construction soon

Harapan Island Urban Village Head, Adi Apandi mentioned, wide of land and location that will be used for PLTS needs confirmation from Jakarta Regional Asset management Agency (BPAD).

"We hope to realize PLTS construction soon, because it is not only environmentally friendly, but it is also expected to fulfill the electricity needs of Sebira Island residents," he conveyed, Wednesday (1/22).

Sebira Island People Support PLTS Development Plan

PLN Construction Planning Sub-division Manager, Sutrisno mentioned, his side plans to built PLTS with solar cell's capacity of 400 kilowatt peak (kWp) next week and targets it to finish in June 2020.

"Optimum height of solar cell is 1.5 meters from land surface. We hope it can be approved as soon as possible, thus it can meet residents need of electricity," he closed.
