The Jakarta Provincial Government as the shareholder of PT Transjakarta held an extraordinary shareholders meeting (RUPSLB) and approved the replacement of the BUMD President Director, on Friday (1/24).
Based on Article 91/Law 40/2007 abut limited liability companies, shareholders have the authority to make binding decisions beyond the RUPS on the condition that all shareholders with voting rights agree in writing by signing the proposal in question.
Transjakarta Eyes Non-ticket IncomeIn the meeting, they approved the replacement of the BUMD President Director Agung Wicaksono who resigned and appointed Donny Andy S Saragih to replace him.
On that occasion, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that it was based on the consideration to develop PT Transjakarta to be more advanced.
"He has a background in experience in the field of transportation. Even he had served as Vice Head of the Jakarta Transportation Council. In his business, he has experience to become the Operational Director of PT Eka Sari Lorena Transport, Tbk and the Commissioner of PT Alfa Omega Transport since 2014 until now," he expressed, as quoted from the Jakarta PPID's press release.
Surely the city appreciated his performance, which is deemed to have laid the foundation of integration of public transportation in Jakarta.
"Through Jak Lingko, he has begun to integrate with rail-based transportation such as MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta and KRL. Last year, the number of passengers had increased 264.61 million from 188.98 million," he explained.
He hoped that PT Transjakarta could realize mass transportation that is safe and comfortable and affordable, thus people can travel on time and have an impact on improving the economy of Jakarta.
"And transportation integration could be smoother making it easier for customers to move between modes and reach all areas of Jakarta," he hoped.
