In order to strengthen regional identity, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district plants kedoya or ivory mahogany trees with latin name of Dysoxylum Gaudichaudianum in Kedoya Utara Urban Village. Nowadays, this tree is quite hard to find in Jakarta.

Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Head, Saumun stated, by planting that tree, his side wants young people to know the origin of Kedoya region's name.

"It is the type of hardwood, thus it requires a quite large area to plant it," he mentioned.
Kedoya Utara Urban Village Head, Tubagus Masarul Iman stated, his side obtained kedoya seeds from civil apparatuses (ASN).
"ASN should play an active role in arranging the environment, such as greening. There are seven kedoya trees planted in this area," he said.
