10 Mobile Pumps Sent to Handle Inundation in Kemayoran Underpass

Joint personnel are now still trying to handle water that inundates the Kemayoran Underpass, Central Jakarta. Until on Sunday (2/9) noon, the water level reaches three meters thus the underpass had to be closed until the situation returns to normal.

The initial water level was only seven meters and now has decreased three meters

Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-agency's Sawah Besar Sector Platoon Head Baidillah Effendi said its handling has been carried out since yesterday.

"The initial water level was only seven meters and now has decreased three meters. Thus far we have sent 10 mobile pumps to the location," he told.

Puddles in Kemayoran Underpass Sucked

Each pump has a capacity of 200-300 liters per second," he told.

If today is sunny, the situation will be back to normal starting Monday tomorrow.

"Predictably the motorists can already pass the underpass tomorrow," he stated.
