This Year, 12 PLTSs will Be Installed in Central Jakarta

This year, Central Jakarta Government plans to install Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in 12 locations.

Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Bayu Meghantara conveyed, 10 of 12 PLTSs locations in Central Jakarta are urban village and sub-district offices, health centers (puskesmas), and Children-Friendly Integrated Public Spaces (RTPRA). While the other 2 locations will use Bundaran HI and Tosari Transjakarta Bus Shelter with capacity 1.5 KWP.

"We install solar panels in government offices and Transjakarta bus shelters," he added, Tuesday (2/16).

According to him, PLTS can reduce dependency on fuel and supports the transition into renewable energy.

"In the past, people used to store solar energy on the roof to boil water. Now, we use it for electricity and other purposes," he mentioned.
