BMKG: Jakarta to See Heavy Rain in Early Morning

In early morning, medium-heavy rain will hit West, Central, North, South and East Jakarta, including in Thousand Islands

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) expects rain in parts of Jakarta on Wednesday (2/26) today.

"Cloudy in the morning but light rain in North, Central and East Jakarta, including in Thousand Islands," said BMKG's Public Relations Division Head, Taufan Maulana.

He stated the afternoon will see light rain in South and East Jakarta. At night, weather will be cloudy and light rain in North, West and South Jakarta, including in Thousand Islands.

"In early morning, medium-heavy rain will hit West, Central, North, South and East Jakarta, including in Thousand Islands," he told.

Temperatures are expected to be in the range of 25 to 32 degrees Celsius with humidity of 80 to 95 percent and west-northwest wind speeds of 5 to 20 kilometers per hour.

Nevertheless, citizens must be alert to the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds of short duration in North, West, Central, South and East Jakarta at night and early morning.
