Health Workers of Thousand Islands COVID-19 Team Check Visitors Temperature

Boat passengers have their temperature checked as they arrived at Thousand Islands ports in Tidung Island, Untung Jawa Island, Pari Island, Pramuka Island, Harapan Island and Kelapa Island by health workers of Thousand Islands COVID-19 Response Team, on Saturday (3/7).

"We check their temperature one by one to prevent coronavirus transmission as early as possible because many visitors visit the islands on the weekend," said Sujanto Budiroso, Thousand Islands's Government and People's Welfare Assistant (Aspemkesra) while checking the passengers' temperature in Tidung Island.

Especially for passengers who visit resort islands, health workers from Thousand Islands Health Sub-department have checked their temperature before departure at Marina Port, Ancol.

"Not only temperature checking, but we also socialize them how to wash hand properly and remind them to maintain healthy diet and lifestyle to avoid coronavirus," he asserted.

In the other hand, South Thousand Islands' Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supriyadi conveyed, his side deployed ASN, Satpol PP, and Puskesmas health workers to check visitors' temperature on the weekend.

"After checking their temperature, we also gather them in port to give brief socialization about the importance of maintaining health," he said.
