East Jakarta Enforces Employees & Guests' Body Temperature Following Confirmed COVID-19

Aside anticipatory way, it is for employee and guest's health checks

The East Jakarta administration has enforced a body temperature check for every employee and guest who enters the office complex, as a precaution against the spread of the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19 which originated in Wuhan, China.

It is applied to support the Gubernatorial Instruction number 16/2020 on Increasing Precautions for the Risk of Coronavirus Disease or COVID-19 Infection.

Health Department Issues Circular Letter Regarding Precautions for COVID-19

"Aside anticipatory way, it is for employee and guest's health checks," expressed East Jakarta Secretary, Usmayadi, Friday (3/6).

He explained normal body temperature is in the figure of 36.5 to 37.5 degrees Celsius. If the body exceeds that number, the person must immediately consult a polyclinic in the local building.

East Jakarta Secretary's General Division Head Panangaran Ritonga added it is done in four locations of the building complex, precisely at the entrances of Building Block A, B1, B2 and D.

"We will continue to do this until the situation returns to normal," he stated.
