RPTRA Closed, Its Caretaker Remains in Work for Coronavirus

All child-friendly playgrounds (RPTRA) in Jakarta are closed from March 14-28, to prevent unwanted things amid COVID-19 outbreak.

During closing, the park caretaker goes in to take disinfection spray actions inside the park, clean and maintain, as well as protect its park assets

"During closing, the park caretaker goes in to take disinfection spray actions inside the park, clean and maintain, as well as protect its park assets," expressed Jakarta Empowerment of Child Protection and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency Head, Tuty Kusumawati, Tuesday (3/16).

They work divided into two shifts and each shift consists of three persons. The first shift is at 5 AM to 1 PM, while the second shift is at 1 PM to 10 PM WIB.

"There will be no gathering activities here temporarily," she explained.

She also urges them to maintain health and personal hygiene. When sneezing and coughing, cover them with disposable tissue and throw it in the paper bin.

"Wash your hands frequently with running water and soap or disinfectant soap, about once an hour. Then avoid contact with friends and others and keep a distance of more than one meter," he said.
