City Sets Work System to Prevent COVID-19 Infection

Jakarta Regional Employment Agency (BKD) Head Chaidir said that the Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan had signed a circular letter number 2/2020 on the adjustment of the work system of employees in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"This also applies to employees aged over 50 years, pregnant and breastfeeding conditions, employee's family health or in monitoring status, foreign travel history, as well as effectiveness of tasks and organizational units," he explained.
He added the regional apparatus organization head was able to regulate the work system for apparatus in charge of providing direct services to citizens and or dealing with COVID-19 handling, among others like medical officers of Health Agency, Fire and Rescue Agency, Transportation Agency, Environment Agency, Social Agency, Satpol PP, city/regency secretariat, Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency and sub-district and urban village apparatuses.
"There are provisions for personnel or employees who do official duties at home to be in their respective residences. That means this is not a holiday," he explained.
He assessed attendance of employee working hours based on the letter of assignment of the regional apparatus organization head, should fill daily work activities through e-Kinerja and still receive income.
"Further they sent a report to the BKD," he told.
It would be valid until March 31, 2020 and would be further evaluated as needed.
"After this working system is expired, every head evaluates the effectiveness of the implementation and reports it to the governor through the BKD," he said.
