1,262 Companies Make Online Report on COVID-19 Prevention Measures

The Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency has noted that as many as 1,262 companies with 454,289 workers have reported the COVID-19 prevention measures via online at bit.ly/laporanpelaksanawfh.

It does not only apply to companies that have implemented Work From Home (WFH) policies, but also to companies that cannot dismiss their employees

"It does not only apply to companies that have implemented Work From Home (WFH) policies, but also to companies that cannot dismiss their employees, either by giving shifts or limiting operating hours," disclosed Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency Head, Andri Yansyah, Monday (3/23).

The steps taken by the company include detection, prevention, response and anticipation of the emergence of COVID-19 as follows:

1. Provide information about symptoms, signs and ways to prevent transmission of infections due to COVID-19 to employees in the form of counseling or by print media (banner, leaf let, videotron, sticker, etc) that can be downloaded at bit.ly/materiedukasiCOVID-1.

2. Use a thermal gun to check the employee's body temperature.

3. If the disease suspect is detected like fever and cough/running nose/sore throat/shortness of breath and have just returned from the infected country or area within 14 days before being sick, things to do is:

a. Do not panic

b. Wear a mask, avoid physical contact and seek medical care early

c. Then report to the Health Service through Jakarta KLB Post at 081388376955

4. Provide health socialization to workers includes:

a. Promote good respiratory hygiene. Use a tissue or an inner arm to cover mouth

b. Clean hands often after coughing or sneezing, before and after preparing food, before eating, after using the toilet, after caring for animals

c. Promote regular and through handwashing with soap and running water and rinse for about 20 seconds. If no water, use hand sanitizers containing 70-80 percent alcohol

d. Advice those who are sick to stay home

5. Facilitate the investigation and response process in accordance with applicable regulations to prevent further transmission

6. Doing disinfection by:

a. Disinfecting floors, building walls, carpets, door handles/windows and tools that are often touched in general by using disinfection solutions in accordance with the instructions for use of each product (label)

b. Spray the room with a fast-acting alcoholic spray disinfectant

7. Provide hand washing soap and sink/hand sanitizer containing 70-80 percent alcohol, which is easily accessible by all occupants/guests

8. Monitor the development of COVI0-19 conditions through electronic media and releases from reliable sources

9. Do not share statements on social media that can cause public anxiety
