40,000 Coverall Suits Sent to Referral Hospitals and Health Facilities in Jakarta

We will ensure that all health workers are safe and protected from the virus

The Jakarta Health Agency (dinkes), received 40,000 coverall suits, which are used on job sites as a standard health and safety measure for handling Covid-19 outbreaks from the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) at the Jakarta City Hall, Monday (23/3) dawn.

On that occasion, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that the agency will soon distribute them to all referral hospitals and health facilities throughout Jakarta area.

"These suits arrived last night at City Hall. InsyaAllah they will support our officers who are currently in the vanguard to ensure that they are not exposed and surely these tools are very important," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (3/23).

Its distribution will be conducted proportionally.

"Yesterday afternoon, Army general Doni Monardo as Chairman of Covid-19 Response Team had communication with us about coverall suits delivery distribution and would be sent to referral hospitals in the morning, including health facilities to serve patients or people who are under monitoring. We also see other health facilities like puskesmas that has started to detect the virus case," he explained.

Jakarta Dinkes Head Widyastuti asserted that the agency had coordinated with the Health Agency team to make sure that all hospitals receive the suits.

"We will ensure that all health workers are safe and protected from the virus," she stressed.
