Ahok to Step Ahead as Acting Jakarta Governor

Plenary meeting to discuss the resignation of the Jakarta Governor, Joko Widodo, will be held tomorrow, Thursday (10/2). After the resignation of the elected president is approved, his position will automatically be replaced by his vice, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama .

It's set in Bill

The man who is familiarly called Ahok said, his status will be as the acting Jakarta Governor for a while while waiting the inauguration by Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to him, it is been arranged in Bill No. 32/2004 of Regional Government. There is stil administrate process to go through before he leads Jakarta. "It's set in Bill," Ahok said, Wednesday (10/1).

DPRD Building Needs to Be Repaired

As reported, City Parliament agreed to hold a plenary meeting tomorrow related to Jokowi resignation letter. As many as six out of nine factions, PDIP, Hanura, Demokrat, Nasdem, PAN, and PKB, become a mover to convening the plenary session. Jokowi is asked to read his own resignation letter.

Certainly there will be no parties try to prevent Jokowi's resignation as Jakarta Governor at the plenary meeting. The entire faction understands if the resignation is rejected, Jokowi will have double position as president and governor. Meanwhile, the staff of the board has not scheduling Ahok's inauguration as Jakarta Governor. Jokowi is about to start his new duty as president on October 20.
