As in previous years, Jakarta Provincial Government tomorrow, Sunday (10/5), will hold Eid prayer at the yard of City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta. The prayer will be led by imam and preacher, Prof. Dr. Said Agil Husin Al Munawar.

Jakarta Indonesian Civil Servants Corp Secretary, Sugeng, disclosed that the Eid ul Adha prayer will be attended by city officials, including Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo.

“We have sent the invitation for Eid ul Adha prayer at City Hall yard to him (Jokowi), but we don’t know whether he would come or not,” he said, Saturday (10/4).

The Eid ul Adha prayer at City Hall yard tomorrow is scheduled to be attended by City Secretary Saefullah and his wife, as well as heads of regional working units (SKPD) under Jakarta Provincial Government. Nevertheless, the activity is also opened for public.

“The residents around the City Hall can do Eid prayer at City Hall yard. Its capacity is 1,500 pilgrims,” he stated.

After the prayer, the activity will be continued with send-off of sacrificial animals examination officers from Jakarta Marine and Livestock Department. Those officers will be examining sacrificial animals that have been slaughtered to provide safety to the people who consume the meat.

As many as 1,250 sacrificial animal meat coupons also have been provided to be distributed to the needy, including mustahiq, non-organic employees in Jakarta Provincial Government, and the residents who live around Kebon Sirih Urban Village, Central Jakarta. for the animal slaughter, it will be done in Cakung Animals Slaughterhouse (RPH), East Jakarta.
