Breaking PSBB, Two Restaurants in Kelapa Gading Controlled

They (restaurants) can still operate but must offer delivery services, instead of providing facilities to eat

The joint personnel of North Jakarta COVID-19 Handling Task Force had to crack down on two restaurants on Jalan Boulevard Raya, Kelapa Gading, for violating the PSBB rules by accepting customers to eat on the spot.

North Jakarta Satpol PP Head Yusuf Majid said this action was a preventive effort to protect citizens from being exposed to the coronavirus.

By facilitating places, he assessed, restaurant owners would trigger people to gather and be prone to exposure to viruses.

"They (restaurants) can still operate but must offer delivery services, instead of providing facilities to eat," he stated, Monday (5/18)

They were subjected to administrative fines. If not, they would be sealed and would not be allowed to operate.

"So don't try to break the rules," he asserted.

Kelapa Gading Sub-district Head M Harmawan added, all this time, his ranks had massively socialized PSBB procedures to the public, especially business actors.

"Hopefully, in the future, similar case won't happen again," he closed.
