The Jakarta Culture Agency has opened registration for prospective members of the Betawi Cultural Village (KPB) Study and Development Forum for the 2020-2024 period, which has been ongoing since May 13 and will end on May 20.
Prospective members will pass the selection stage, namely administration selection from May 26-29 May and competency interviews on June 2-6. The selection results will be submitted to Jakarta Governor on June 8 and continued with the announcement in the same month.

He invites Jakarta's best youths to contribute a lot by becoming a member of the Betawi KPB Study and Development Forum.
"Until now there have been 14 registrants. Don't worry this is free of charge and selection is done transparently," he explained.
It is a forum for organizing elements of the community in carrying out the assessment and development of Betawi cultural villages.
"One of them is tasked with giving direction, consideration and/or input to the UPK PBB in the context of preserving Betawi culture," he explained.
He added it aims to maintain and protect the Betawi life order and cultural values, as well as to create and develop Betawi cultural arts.
"Another goal is to organize and utilize the potential of the physical environment, either natural or artificial with a Betawi nuance, as well as to control the use of the physical and non-physical environment thus they work together to maintain the preservation of the Betawi culture," he stated.
