This Year's Eid, Waste Volume Reaches 775.92 Cubic Meters in West Jakarta

Total waste collected in West Jakarta from takbiran (Eid al-Fitr's eve) until Eid al-Fitr 1441 Hijri, Sunday (5/24), reached 775.92 cubic meters.

Overall it reaches 775.92 cubic meters

West Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency Head, Slamet Riyadi conveyed, that amount of waste was collected from 8 sub-districts in West Jakarta. He assessed, it was less than usual amount on Eid because of COVID-19 pandemic and Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation.

"Waste volume on the night of takbiran reaches 246.12 cubic meters, while on Sunday (5/24) reaches 529.80 cubic meters. Overall it reaches 775.92 cubic meters," he informed, Tuesday (5/26).

East Jakarta LH Collects 780.83 Tons of Waste on Eid Holiday

His side deployed 221 personnel to collect waste in 8 sub-districts using 18 trucks and 8 street sweeper cars. Personnel made sure to do it according to health protocols by wearing gloves, masks, and others.

"We prepare 2 trucks in each sub-districts, including at sub-district offices for anticipation. Those collected waste are transported immediately to Bantar Gebang TPST," he mentioned.
