Museum Reopening, Health Protocols Carried Out Along Transitional PSBB Period

Jakarta Provincial Government has reopened museum to the visitors by implementing health protocols during the transitional Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period.

It is only limited up to 50 percent of museum's capacity

Health protocols implementation in the museum has been regulated through Jakarta Culture Agency Head's Decree No. 548/2020 regarding Provisions in Operating Museum Owned by Jakarta Government in the Implementation of Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) for transition towards a Healthy, Safe and Productive Community.

Jakarta Culture Agency Head, Iwan Henry Wardhana mentioned, museums under management of Jakarta Government have been operated since June 8, 2020. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday, at 9 AM - 3 PM.

"It is only limited up to 50 percent of museum's capacity. Museum management and visitors should wear mask and their body temperature should be checked when entering museum area," he conveyed, Monday (6/15).

He explained, museum management will also provide hand sanitizer and hand washing facilities on the entrance and exit gates, and strategic places.

"There is also a separate room to check personnel or visitors with COVID-19 symptoms," he conveyed.

He considered, one of health protocols which implemented is maintaining physical distance with other people, both personnel or visitors, at least 1 meter.

"I have instructed all personnel in museums to often socialize visitors about COVID-19 prevention protocols," he stated.

According to him, personnel will ensure to clean the museum area with disinfectant regularly.

"Disinfectant spraying is carried out every day, before and after operational hours," he closed.
