Jakarta Transportation Council (DTKJ) appreciates Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan for providing assistance in form of tens school buses to transport KRL Commuterline's users from and to Greater Jakarta areas.

According to DTKJ Chairperson, Haris Muhamadun, decision to provide school bus assistance was considered very strategic since there is an increase in KRL commuter line users when entering transition period for Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).
"School buses deployed to meet the increasing demand for KRL transport," he added, Tuesday (6/16).

"Transportation Ministry also provides tour buses to reduce the density in train stations, especially that located in Greater Jakarta areas such as Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi," he mentioned.
His side hopes regulations which issued by central government, such as civil apparatuses (ASN)'s working shift regulation from Administrative Reforms Ministry (Kemenpan-RB) and working hours regulation for private employees from Manpower and Transmigration Ministry can be implemented as soon as p
ossible."Those regulations have a potential to affect public demand for KRL thus density in mass public transport can be reduced," he mentioned.
He stated, intervention between demand and supply should be done simultaneously by Jakarta Government and central government thus COVID-19 prevention can be carried out optimally.
"So, intervention should be carried out in two sectors by involving all parties thus health protocols can be implemented optimally during the transitional PSBB period in Jakarta," he closed.
