Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands, installed more hand washing facilities along major roads, homestay's entrance gates, culinary spots, tourist destinations, and ports.

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supriyadi mentioned, previously there were 75 portable sinks and now he added 25 portable sinks in the region. By adding more hand washing facilities, his side wanted to educate his residents and visitors to maintain cleanliness in order to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

"We install more hand washing facilities in strategic locations that can be seen easily," he added, Friday (6/19).

After Regency reopened Thousand Islands for tourism, he continued, number of tourists who visited Untung Jawa Island reached 1,147 people on the last weekend.
