Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Cases as of June 1

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of June 1.

According to Widyastuti, Head of Jakarta Health Agency, until Monday (6/1), in total, there were 67,383 positive people in Jakarta, with details 2,246 were declared cured and 521 died.

"1,794 are still being treated in hospital and 2,822 are undergoing self-isolation at home," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

As for the number of people without symptoms (OTG) reached 18,467 people. The number of individuals being monitored (ODP) reached 15,705 people, while 10,995 patients were under surveillance (PDP).

She added the city had also increased the inspection capacity of the RT-PCR method, which is by building a COVID-19 Satellite Laboratory, located in a part of the Pasar Minggu RSUD area since April 9 and developing a network with 36 COVID-19 inspection laboratories.

While the cumulative PCR test conducted in Jakarta up to May 31 were 152,436 samples. While the PCR test as of May 31, as many as 1,965 people underwent the test. As many as 1,607 tests were done to confirm the diagnosis in new cases where 111 were positive and 1,496 were negative.

Massive selective check-up was done continuously in selected urban villages areas, which are studied epidemiologically and according to population density. There were 58 selected villages that conducted the rapid test. It was targeted to elderly people, people with cases of certain diseases and also for pregnant women.

In total, as many as 143,091 people had undergone the rapid test, with details 5,682 people having reactive coronavirus and 137,409 people were non-reactive. For the positive cases, it was handled through swab test via PCR. If the results were positive, the patients would be referred to the homestead athlete or hospital or undergo a self-isolation at home.

"For people, we urge to always run health protocols by wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water or using a hand sanitizer, keeping a minimum distance of 1.5-2 meters between people, and staying at home," she urged.

Even the community also had the opportunity to donate with others in the large-scale social collaboration (KSBB) program through corona.jakarta.go.id/ksb. They can provide aid in the form of staple foods, fast food and cash.

Since April 24 to May 31 at 1 PM, the Pokja KSBB had collected commitments for 388,541 staple food packages, 154,411 fast food packages, 31,347 Eid packages and 2,344 THR packages for low-income families at the RW, institution and pesantren (Islamic boarding school) levels.

They also received aid commitments from 100 corporate/group donors and 12 individual donors.
