Jakarta Police Appreciate City’s Plan to Install More CCTVs

Jakarta Provincial Government’s plan to add closed circuit televisions (CCTV) is welcomed by Jakarta Police. Because with more CCTVs installed in city’s corners, the traffic as well as crime acts can be monitored.
Existing CCTVs can only be used to monitor traffic flows
“We and Jakarta Provincial Government will add more CCTVs which planned would be integrated with us. Existing CCTVs can only be used to monitor traffic flows. But if city government’s CCTVs were good quality, we can get the identity of the offenders fast,” stated Jakarta Police Chief Ins. Gen. Unggung Cahyono, Wednesday (10/8).
According to Cahyono, there are some prone locations that being a central attention from the police. It is hoped that those locations could be prioritized to be installed with CCTVs.
