Gulkarmat Sprays Blok M Square and Blok M Terminal with Disinfectant

Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency carried out disinfectant spraying at Blok M Square and Blok M Terminal, on this Tuesday (6/23).

From beritajakarta.id observation, disinfectant was sprayed in public areas and facilities such as escalator, stairs, public toilet, handrail, elevator, and prayer places.

Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency Head, Satriadi Gunawan mentioned, disinfectant spraying is carried out as an effort to prevent COVID-19 transmission which regulated in Gubernatorial Decree (Kepgub) No. 462/2020 about Jakarta Task Force for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling and Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 51/2020 about Implementation of Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) During the Transitional Period towards Healthy, Safe and Productive Community.

"We deploy 87 personnel and several equipment such as portable sprayers and medium pressure pump car units," he explained.

According to him, Gulkarmat Agency personnel routinely sterilizes the area, public and social facilities, including facilities in prayers places by cleaning and spraying it using disinfectant liquid.

"Although our main duties are fire handling and rescue, but we try our best to do our task in preventing COVID-19 transmission thus the community is safe, healthy, and productive in doing their activities," he asserted.

The Operational General Manager of Blok M Square, Darma Walad appreciated Jakarta Government's concern, especially Gulkarmat Agency, for helping to prevent COVID-19 transmission in public areas, including in shopping center.

"Thanks for Jakarta Government's concerns, especially Gulkarmat Agency that directly assists residents in handling and preventing COVID-19 transmission," he conveyed.
