Jakarta Youth and Sport Agency (Dispora) reminds cyclists to prepare or bring additional masks for backup when doing activities such as cycling.

Jakarta Dispora Head, Achmad Firdaus conveyed, people tend to sweat when doing sport activities that can make their mask wet.
"If they don't change their damp mask, it will be hard for them to breath," he stated, Saturday (6/27).

"It would be more comfortable if the cyclists could ride in low-medium speed," he assessed.
He informed, there are several indicators to distinguish intensity levels when cycling. Low intensity is when people can still sing and speak clearly while doing sport.
"For moderate intensity, people can talk clearly but hard to sing when doing sport. Then for high intensity level is where people are hard to
talk while doing sport," he explained.His side consulted with experts involving infectious disease specialists, pulmonary specialist, sport specialist doctor, cyclist communities, athletic communities, and others regarding the use of mask when cycling.
"Actually, cyclist communities are used to wear mask in order to avoid pollution on the road," he added.
Furthermore, his side also reminds cyclists to wear helm and maintain safe distance with other cyclists, which is around 20 meters with speed 30 km/hour, 5 meters with speed 14 km/hour, and 2 meter distance with speed 8 km/hour.
"Don't forget to wear mask when doing sport. You can regularly remove and wear the mask again within 15 minutes," he stated.
