"Based on our monitoring results, here is complete already, starting from the announcement, information to consumers and the provision of paid eco-friendly bags," expressed West Jakarta Economic and Development Assistant, Fredy Setiawan, Wednesday (7/1).

In West Jakarta, he stated, there are around 700 minimarts that will be monitored. To optimize, a number of teams have been assigned and spread out in each sub-district.

Here are Sanctions for KBRL Violators

Cleanliness Control Division Head Edy Mulyanto added Gubernatorial Regulation number 142/2019 on eco-friendly bag usage began to take effect today in all areas of Jakarta.

"If plastic bags are still in use, violators will be charged under administrative sanction within one month, fine sanction, business license suspension and revocation of business license.

By doing so, hopefully people could reduce the use of single-use plastic bags.
