Our target of this action is those who violate the health protocols by individual or business entity
According to Arifin, Head of Jakarta Satpol PP, at least 50 reports of action against violators of health protocols became a target of every personnel in one day.
He explained that it was in line with the regulatory compliance operations area (OK Prend) where the action was in the form of social sanctions and administrative fines.
Satpol PP Acts as Public's Friend Through OK Prend"Our target of this action is those who violate the health protocols by individual or business entity," he stated, Wednesday (7/22).
He explained the target was given as a reference and guide for personnel in the field, not merely to find fault with residents. It would be a performance evaluation and know the commitment of personnel in the field in enforcing regulations, especially in efforts to contain transmission of COVID-19.
"This is because there are some who are actively taking action and some do less active. We want them to work seriously not arbitrarily. So it doesn't mean find fault with residents," he stressed.
He added many people had begun to ignore masks and health protocols lately, even though the situation was not yet safe from COVID-19. It could be seen from the positive trend of COVID-19 in Jakarta, which actually experienced an increase.
"Let's compete to discipline those who still don't comply with the COVID-19 protocol," he uttered.
