147 Sacrificial Animals in Lebak Bulus Examined

A number of inspectors under South Jakarta administration have been dispatched to check on the health of livestock at the animal shelter on Jalan Lebak Bulus I, Lebak Bulus, Cilandak.

"We want to make sure that the availability of qurban animals is safe, healthy and halal to be consumed," said South Jakarta Mayor, Marullah Matali, Thursday (7/23).

He admitted it was also to ensure the sacrificial animal shelter, whether it was in accordance with procedures or not. Qurban animal suppliers were also required to complete the corona likelihood metric (CLM) app.

"At the moment we see the animals here have been examined," he said.

On the other hand, South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency Head Hasudungan explained the number of qurban animals at the shelter was reaching 147 animals comprising 22 cows, 75 goats and 50 sheep.

"The results are satisfying. All of the animals sold are in healthy condition. In addition, the seller also applies health protocols," he stated.
