Some 60 inspectors of East Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency have examined 15,783 qurban animals in 217 animal shelters in 10 sub-districts from July 13 to 23.
Of 15,783 animals, 6,138 of them are cows, 203 are buffalos, 7,775 are goats and 1,667 are sheep
Irma Budiany, Division Head of Livestock and Animal Health stated that it was done every day, which aimed to ensure the availability of qurban animals was safe, healthy and halal to be consumed.
