Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Agency continues to carry out food inspection to ensure fresh commodities from agriculture, livestock, and fishery products are safe for consumption, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this chance, KPKP Agency held food inspection in 5 supermarkets, namely Farmers Market Golden Truly, Central Jakarta; Carrefour Buaran, East Jakarta; Superindo Sunter Kirana, North Jakarta; Giant Express Cilandak KKO, South Jakarta; and Hari Hari Lokasari, West Jakarta.
Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Darjamuni stated, his side took samples of several products from agriculture, livestock, and fishery and tested it.
KPKP Agency Holds Fresh Food Inspection in 5 Supermarkets in South JakartaFor agricultural products, his side took samples of rice, shallot, garlic, big red chili, red cayenne, curly red chili, curly green chili, potato, carrot, flat cabbage, Chinese cabbage, choy sum, spinach, water spinach, tomato, long bean, Medan orange, lemon, apple, pear, and grape.
For livestock products, he took samples of beef, chicken meat, minced meat (beef/chicken), innards (liver/gizzard). While for fishery products, he took samples of fresh fish and processed fishery products.
"We take 85 samples for laboratory testing and 100 percent of the samples are free from formalin and pesticide commodities," he mentioned, Wednesday (7/29).
By carrying out food inspection intensively, he expected producers can ensure the availability of healthy and good quality foods which are safe for consumption.
"Jakartans shouldn't worried to consume fresh commodities which sold in Jakarta. We will keep monitoring and ensuring food security," he mentioned.
