Repair Work on 6 Parks in North Jakarta Cancelled

The plan to repair six parks in North Jakarta this year is canceled. Those six parks are Volker Park (Rp 900 million), Danau Sunter Barat Park (Rp 200 million), Yos Sudarso Park (Rp 200 million), Tablo Park (Rp 200 million), Median Tengah Plumpang Park (Rp 200 million), and Blok E RW 10 Koja Park (Rp 400 million). Thus, the allocated budget as much as Rp 2.1 billion is finally returned.

But, we remain repairing 14 parks with budget ranging from Rp 200 million until Rp 1.6 billion

Head of North Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Muhammad Fajar Sauri, disclosed that the repair cancellation is due to several factors, such as unclear land status until many projects that have not been completed yet.

“But, we remain repairing 14 parks with budget ranging from Rp 200 million until Rp 1.6 billion,” he stated, Saturday (10/18).

Officers Sent to 387 Parks in Central Jakarta as Crime Prevention

According to Sanuri, Volker Park is not repaired due to its land status is still unclear and in the location there is also a project belongs to PT KAI running until 2030.

Repair cancellation for Yos Sudarso, Tablo, Blok E, and Median Tengah Plumpang parks is also affected by project of JORR toll road, while Danau Sunter Barat Park will be affected by road widening project.

“The parks we repaired are Layak Anak Sunter Park with fund Rp 1.6 billion, BMW Park Rp 400 million, Toar Park Rp 400 million, RBU Park Rp 700 million, and Palem Park Rp 400 million. The repair is targeted to finish this year,” he uttered.
