South Jakarta Government through Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency continues to empower 111 farmer groups (poktan) that manage green alleys in order to support food security.

South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Food Security and Agriculture Section Head, Sundari stated, her side empowers 111 farmer groups in 10 sub-districts by providing training and monitoring their activities.

In 2017, it increased into 41 groups then 71 groups in 2018. This year, it reached 111 farmer groups that manage the green alleys. In average, each group has 15-20 members. They grow various types of vegetables such as lettuce, bok choy, water spinach, mustard greens, spinach, eggplant, and others.
"We share the yields to the members and sell some of the yields to the residents," she conveyed.
