Entering PSBB, Here are Operational Regulations for Motorcycle Taxi Transport in Jakarta

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo issued Decree (SK) No. 156/2020 on Technical Guidelines for Implementation of Large-scale Social Restrictions in Transportation Sector.

The responsible companies of app-based motorcycle taxis must apply geofencing technology

In this decree, app-based motorcycle taxis and motorcycle taxis are allowed to operate but the drivers should implement a strict health protocol.

Moreover, motorcycle taxis drivers are not allowed to gather more than 5 persons in one location and parking their motorcycles with distance at least 2 meters with other drivers while waiting for passengers.

"The responsible companies of app-based motorcycle taxis must apply geofencing technology thus drivers that gather at one location will not get orders from customers," he stated, Monday (9/14).

He emphasized that if the drivers don't comply with the regulations, Jakarta Government will prohibit passenger transportation activities in Jakarta.
