City-owned food security company PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya assures rice stock in Jakarta during the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in the capital.

"We have an early warning system (EWS). This mechanism is always monitored thus the input and output remain at the level of 2,500 tons per day. Moreover the distribution from production center areas to Jakarta has been smooth so far, with no significant obstacles," expressed PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya Director, Arief Prasetyo Adi, Wednesday (9/23).
Even his party owned a rice factory with a capacity of 6,000 tons a month.

He explained food readiness was an important factor that had to be maintained during the implementation of the policy. It was because Jakarta contributed 27 percent to national inflation.
"We have worked with several cooperatives, combined farmer groups (Gapoktan) and breeders in production centers such as Indramayu, Cilacap, Subang and Lampung, running smoothly so far," he explained.
His party also had coordinated and looked for sources of income from rice stocks with farmers in South Sulawesi. This step was taken to anticipate if there was a shortage of supply from Java Island.
Still related to distribution, food commodities managed by PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya could certainly be accessed by the public quickly and easily.
"Our stock is always available offline and online in collaboration with modern markets and e-commerce," he stated.
