59 Blue Team Personnel Sent to Dredge Up Drains in Tanah Abang

The thickness of mud is between 20-90 centimeters. The volume of mud transported during this week is 2,029.75 cubic meters

Some 59 personnel of blue team under Tanah Abang Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, Central Jakarta, deployed to dredge up mud and to improve sheet piles in the drains.

Tanah Abang Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head Eli Menawan Sari said they deployed to 10 spots of drains and connecting drains in order to minimize flooding in the rainy season.

"Drain dredging is focused on Jalan Raya and Jati Bunder, RW 14 Kebon Melati Urban Village; Jalan Administrasi 1 LAN; Jalan Matana RT 16/RW 04 Bendungan Hilir Urban Village; and Jalan Gang Tike RW 08 Kebon Kacang Urban Village," she expressed, Monday (10/12).

Then dredging on the connecting drains was carried out at Karet Bivak TPU; on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur; Jalan Asia Afrika RT 01/RW 03 Gelora Urban Village; and Jalan Administrasi 2 RT 09/RW 09 Petamburan Urban Village.

"Our team also repairs sheet piles on Jalan Penjernihan RT 06/RW 06 Bendungan Hilir Urban Village and Jalan Kebon Melati 5 Kebon Melati Urban Village," she told.

She added dredging in eight drains had between 50-500 meters length with 50 centimeters-1 meters width and height.

"The thickness of mud is between 20-90 centimeters. The volume of mud transported during this week is 2,029.75 cubic meters," he concluded.
