Dishub Applies Traffic Diversion in Several Roads in Jakarta Today

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) will apply various traffic engineering in Jakarta due to demonstration in state palace on October 13, 2020.

We advise road users who use parking facility at IRTI Monas to use other parking facilities

Jakarta Dishub Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo conveyed, his side has closed several roads around Monas since Monday (10/12) at 22:00.

"Last night, we have closed several roads, namely Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Museum, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Veteran, and there will be situational closure on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan and Jalan Budi Kemuliaan. For this reason, we have prepared traffic diversion," he explained, as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release on Tuesday (10/13).

Traffic Lights Repair in 15 Locations Completed

The traffic diversion will be applied in more detail as follows;

- Traffic flow from North/Kota will be diverted to Harmoni Intersection - Jalan Juanda - Jalan Pos - Jalan Gunung Sahari and so on.

- Traffic flow from South/Blok M will be diverted to Jalan Kebon Sirih - Jalan Fakhrudin - Jalan Cideng Barat - Jalan Suryopranoto/ Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis and so on.

- Traffic flow from West/Slipi will be diverted to Jalan Kebon Sirih - Tugu Tani - Kwitang/ Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan - Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur and so on.

- Traffic flow from East/Pulogadung will be diverted to Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan - Jalan Budi Kemuliaan - Jalan Abdul Muis and so on.

Moreover, IRTI Monas Parking Area has been closed to public from October 12 at 10 PM until October 14, at 1 AM.

"We advise road users who use parking facility at IRTI Monas to use other parking facilities ," he mentioned.

Meanwhile, Transjakarta bus operation in Corridor 1 (Blok M - Kota) will also adjust the traffic arrangements in the field, with the following diversion routes;

a. Route to Blok M: Kota - Harmoni Intersection then turn left, take U-turn after Juanda Bus Stop - Petojo Bus Stop, exit the lane - Tarakan Intersection, turn left - Jalan Cideng Timur - Jalan Jati Baru - Tugu Asri Hotel - Milenium Hotel Intersection - Jalan Kebon Sirih - Bank Indonesia Intersection, turn right - Sarinah Bus Stop - Blok M;

b. Route to Kota: Blok M - Sarinah Intersection, exit the lane - Bank Indonesia Intersection, turn left - Jalan Kebon Sirih -  Milenium Hotel, turn left - Jalan Fakhrudin - Jati Baru, straight away - Jalan Cideng Barat - Tarakan Intersection, turn right - Petojo Bus Stop - Harmoni Intersection, turn left - Kota.

"We suggest people who use train to Gambir Station to adjust the time and route. We also urge road users to avoid those roads and adjust to the traffic arrangement, obey the traffic signs, follow instruction from officers on the field, and prioritize safety on the road," he said.
