With this system, there would be no more cash transaction in TransJakarta bus corridors

The nines corridors to use e-ticketing system are corridor VIII (Lebak Bulus-Harmoni) and corridor IX (Pinang Ranti-Pluit) starting November 1, corridor II (Harmoni-Pulo Gadung) and corridor III (Harmoni-Kalideres) starting November 22, corridor V (Ancol-Kampung Melayu) and corridor VII (Kampung Rambutan-Kampung Melayu) starting November 29, corridor X (Tanjung Priok-Cililitan) as well as corridor XI (Kampung Melayu-Pulogebang) and corridor XII (Pluit-Tanjung Priok) starting December 13.

“Starting tomorrow, Thursday (10/23), we will patch the socialization posters on e-ticketing system implementation. With this system, there would be no more cash transaction in TransJakarta bus corridors,” stated PT Transjakarta President Director, Antonius NS Kosasih, Wednesday (10/22).

Rearrangement for Transjakarta Corridor I Route Applied

According to Kosasih, public can get the electronic cards in appointed banks as well as in TransJakarta bus stop counters. With this system, he wishes it would decrease long queues in TransJakarta bus stops.

“This system does not change the fare that paid by the passengers to bus operators. Each passenger still pay Rp 3,500,” he said.

Meanwhile, for corridor IV (Dukuh Atas-Pulogadung) and corridor VI (Ragunan-Dukuh Atas), Kosasih disclosed that his party still meets obstacles with the electronic system. However, e-ticketing system will still be applied in these corridors approximately nearing this end of year.
